LearnReally
Terms of service · updated August 20, 2026

Plain terms for an honest tool.

These terms govern your use of LearnReally — the website, the mobile app, the API, and the open-source MCP server — provided by the individual operator of LearnReally. By creating an account you agree to them. The short version: your content is yours, the paid plan does what the pricing page says, and you can leave any time and keep what you made.

The service

What you get.

LearnReally is a spaced-repetition study tool: you (or your AI agent) author flashcards, you recall them from memory, and an AI checks your answer against the card's stored reference and helps you plan whole decks. Every account starts with 200 of those AI credits free; syncing, self-rated review, starter decks, and unlimited card-writing through the open-source MCP stay free for as long as you keep the account.

Your account

One person, one account.

You need an account to sync; keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if it's compromised. You must be at least 13 (or the digital-consent age where you live). You're responsible for what happens under your account and your API keys — revoke a key immediately if it leaks.

Your content

Your cards are yours.

Decks, cards, answers, and review history you create belong to you. You grant us only the license needed to store, sync, grade, and display them back to you — nothing more. We don't sell your data and we don't train models on it (see the privacy policy). Deleting a deck or your account removes it from the product, subject to short-lived backups.

Paid plan

What’s free, what Pro adds, and fair use.

Every account starts with 200 free AI credits and 120 free built cards, no card needed and no expiry. Pro ($9.99/mo, or $64/yr billed annually) raises both: AI grading, the Deck Builder, and the deep-dive tutor, renewed every month. Payments are processed by our payment processor, the merchant of record named at checkout, which handles billing, taxes, and refunds (see the refund policy). You can cancel any time; access runs to the end of the paid period. AI features carry generous monthly fair-use ceilings shown on your Account page — they exist to stop abuse, not real studying, and hitting one never deletes anything.

Acceptable use

Don't wreck it for everyone.

Don't break the law with the service, probe or overload the infrastructure, resell access, scrape other users' data, or try to bypass the paywall or usage ceilings. We may suspend accounts that do — with notice unless the abuse is active.

AI honesty

The grader is a tool, not an oracle.

AI-generated cards, grades, and explanations can be wrong. They are study aids judged against the reference you (or your agent) stored — not professional, medical, legal, or certification advice. Verify anything that matters beyond your own recall.

Open source

The MCP is MIT.

The LearnReally MCP server is open source under the MIT license; its license governs the code. These terms govern the hosted service the MCP talks to.

Liability

The legal ceiling.

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your statutory consumer rights.

Ending things

Leaving is allowed.

You can stop using LearnReally and delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts for material breach of these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your decks — the MCP and your data formats are open precisely so you're never locked in.

Changes

If these terms change.

Material changes update the date above and get notice in the product. Continuing to use LearnReally after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the law of the operator's place of residence unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
